THE WORD HOUSE · PUBLISHED EDITION · A BODY LEARNING PEACE

Water Before the Lesson

Founder accepted by Kavonte Jones Sr. · August 23, 2026

INVENTORY

Title: Water Before the Lesson.

Cycle: A Body Learning Peace.

Room: a bedroom with clean sheets and open space.

Object: a small speaker playing at low volume.

ALSO PRESENT

one inherited instruction,

one choice still being revised,

one quiet that belongs to nobody else.

DO NOT ADD

a fabricated date,

a private name,

a diagnosis, prophecy, or perfect ending.

NAME CAREFULLY

how ease feels undeserved after a long season of alertness.

how peace may be practiced without being promised.

how both sentences may coexist

without becoming identical.

CARRY FORWARD

the decision to sit through one song without earning the chair,

the dignity of the self who mistakes quiet for a warning,

the part of the story that can be shared,

the blank space that must remain blank.

BALANCE

Unlaced shoes lean without standing watch.

Nothing is resolved by accounting alone.
